20 YEARS CARING
FOR THE SEAS

This non-profit organization was founded in 1999 by the sailor Theresa Zabell, the only Spanish athlete with two Olympic golds and current President of the Institution. Ecomar’s motto – “Take care of the only two places you won’t be able to move from love, your body and your planet ”- inspires the work of this institution. On the one hand, Ecomar is dedicated to promoting the human potential of young people, and a healthy lifestyle based on nautical sports (more than 2.3 million children have benefited from the Grimpola Program, in which 95 clubs and nautical schools participate).

On the other hand, Ecomar works to promote values such as sustainability, respect for the environment and care for the marine environment. In this sense, Ecomar has been caring for the seas for more than 20 years. In the last 13 years, 4,620 children have participated in the coastal cleanups organized by Ecomar, cleaning 81,334 meters of coastline and collecting dozens of tons of waste.

SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEVELOPMENT

Producción y consumo responsables

The Amazon has 20% of the planet’s fresh water and 31% of the tropical humid forests, and yet it remains one of the most threatened ecosystems.

Sorbos supports Saving The Amazon in its reforestation and conservation campaigns in the Colombian Amazon. For this they have the help of local indigenous communities, for whom this initiative is a great opportunity for employment and social development.

EDUCATION

Pizarra

Education is a fundamental right that no child should be without. For this reason, organizations such as La Associació Esportiva Ramassà, work every day on projects that seek to meet the basic needs of children and young people and the social inclusion of the most vulnerable through education.

Currently, Ramassà is carrying out the creation of a Training Center in the Etetack neighborhood in Yaoundé, Cameroon. The organization is a collaborating member of the African Youth Initiative Network (AYINET) and an ambassador for the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals that develops solidarity projects in Africa.
